James, also known as Tbone Wilson, shows you how to play Street Spirit by Radiohead. With an acoustic guitar you begin the intro on A minor, then pick 5, 3, 1, 3, 2, half finger up. On your picking hand you need to hold your pinkie down to contact the hardboard deck of your guitar's face, this makes it easier. Repeat the sequence four times for the intro. Move to the E minor repeating the number sequence twice, then the E minor 7 (repeat sequence twice), first finger is on the second string, than go back done to the E minor (number sequence twice). Now do the A minor and 5, 3, 1, 3, 2 sequence twice. For the chorus chord is C, then E minor, next chord is A minor, always repeating the sequencing twice so you are going 5, 3, 1, 3, 2, 5, 3, 1, 3, 2 for each chord change. The chorus continues in this pattern C chord plus number sequence, E minor chord plus number sequence, A minor plus number sequence until "you are so in love with..." at which you move to the G chord, down to and E chord, which are repeated back and forth with G and E until the very end at which you play the G chord two times and end with an E minor sequence for the overture, slow this final sequence down as you play and end with a solid strum on E minor. Practice the song Street Spirit with this tutorial as a guide and you will soon be playing it just like Radiohead.
